Hearth & Home Radio is a bedtime-radio app from Hearth & Home Entertainment. This page explains exactly what the app does and doesn't do with your data. We aimed for a short, honest document — you should be able to read the whole thing in two minutes.

What we collect

Nothing about you, personally. We do not ask for an account, email, phone number, or name. We do not collect or transmit your contact list, location, photos, microphone, or any other personal sensors.

All of the listening data the app needs — your favorites, your "Continue Listening" progress, your downloaded episodes, your sleep timer preferences — is stored only on your device. It never leaves the device, and we cannot see it. If you uninstall the app, that data is removed by the operating system.

What gets sent over the network

• archive.org: when you tap an episode, the app requests the audio file directly from the public archive.org streaming endpoint. Archive.org receives the same information any web browser would send (your IP address and a request user-agent) under their own privacy policy. The app does not pass any account or device identifier to them.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: if you choose to unlock the full app for the one-time $4.99 purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. Apple/Google share with us only an anonymous receipt token confirming the purchase, which we store on your device so the app stays unlocked.
• Google Fonts: the app loads its display typefaces from Google's public font CDN at startup. This is a standard font request and is not tied to any account.

What we do not do

• We do not use third-party analytics or telemetry.
• We do not show advertisements.
• We do not run any third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell or share any data with any third party.
• We do not use your data to train any AI or machine-learning model.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age. If you are a parent and have a question, please get in touch using the email below.

Permissions the app requests

• Network access — to stream episodes from archive.org and to complete in-app purchases.
• Background audio — so playback continues with the screen off and the lock-screen / notification controls work.
• Storage — only inside the app's own private folder, used to cache downloaded episodes you've chosen to make available offline.

In-app purchases

The app offers a single one-time unlock at $4.99 after a 7-day free trial. There is no subscription. There are no recurring charges. The purchase is processed by Apple or Google; receipts are validated by them, not by us.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and post the new version here. We do not have your email address, so we have no other way to notify you — please check back here if you want to confirm the current version.
